Activities for young people
This Means...
A varied menu of activities to be on offer such as homework clubs and study support, sport, music tuition, dance and drama, arts and crafts, special interest clubs, visits to museums and galleries, volunteering, business and enterprise activities.
Community Access
This Means...
Wider community access to ICT, sports and arts facilities including adult learning.
Parenting Support
This Means...
- Information sessions at key transition points
- Parenting programmes run with the support of other chlidren's services
- Family learning sessions to allow children to learn with their parents
Quality Childcare
This Means...
- High quality childcare 8am - 6pm
- Year round care ('wraparound care')
- Both types to be provided on the school site or through local providers with supervised transfer arragements
Swift and easy access
This Means...
Swift and easy access to a wide range of specialist support services such as speech therapy, child and adolescent mental health services, intensive behaviour support and (for young people) sexual health services. Some may be delivered on school sites.
