Alwoodley Children's Centre is based at Allerton Church of England School on Lingfield Approach.

What are Children's Centres?

Children's Centres are a focal point within each community for parents and carers of children.

They pull together everything families need - from midwives, health visitors and early years provision (integrated day care and early learning) to parenting support, skills training and help to find employment.

They perform outreach work to families in the community who are most isolated and vulnerable.

They also offer a base for childminder networks and links to other day care provision, out-of-school clubs and extended services.
